time flies . . . . . it's already a week +++ since I'm back from Hainan Island - 海南岛 (China)


didn't heard before Hainan Island

that's my grandpa homecountry . . . . .


spent 5 days 4 nights on there (14/3 - 18/3) ---- 15 of us went for the trip ...


Day 1

woke up 3.30 am ! ! ! (i slept for less than 3 hours ** yawn**)

had a quick breakfast and went to airport to meet my relatives . . . . .

reached airport before 5.30am . . . obviously every1 waiting for us , we are the latest one to arrive ...


dad, bro and uncles went to check in luggage . . . . . wait for departure . . . . .

* * * depart * * *


* * * arrive * * * at Hainan International Airport (which is small compare to KLIA)


the weather there was cooling ...

I can feel the breezing air blowing once I stepped out the plane ... so nice but cold ...

we began our journey from the airport to my grandpa's kampung - 后安

on the way stopped by and have our lunch ... the 1st meal that we had there ...

the food looks NORMAL but taste ---> yucks



ESPECIALLY THIS 1 !! it taste like u are chewing RAW LEAVES and TREE JUICE

i wonder why the tour guide would bring us to such place and have our meal and the price for the meal is not cheap thou



after the "nice" meal , we continue our journey to 万宁 which is a city near my grandpa's kampung ...

before going to kampung, we went to a mountain ... ( i dunno what's the name as when the tour guide talking i sleep infront of him , can't blame me as i only slept for few hours only the night before .. LOL)

what so special bout the place ?? THE BLACK SHEEPsSsssss ... u can see the balck skinny sheeps anywhere there ...

we headed to grandpa's kampung after spending 2 hours at the mountain ......

they welcomed us warmly (they even lighted a long long fire crackers)

we found a big fat LIVE pig !!! at the neighbour's house ... ** scary **


i think I slept pretty early that day ... around 10sth ..... and it's so cold at night ...


Day 2

woke up around ?? (forgot what time) , had breakfast and get ready to go bai bai ...

at the ancestor's house





we went to the town and have a walk in the evening ...

we took the taxi from the town back to the kampung ...


Day 3

FINALLY ... we ended our stay at the kampung ~~

we went to Nan Shan and got to spent a night at 5 ✭ hotel after the 2 nights stay in the kampung ...








Day 4

We went for a half day tour since we didn't manage to visit any place there yesterday as we arrived late evening yesterday ...

we had our lunch and headed back to Haikou ...

to spent a night there...

we manage to have some time to walk around the city at night ...


Day 5

woke up around 7.30am and prepare to check out ..

had our breakfast at the hotel ...

reach airport at 9 am ...

our plan depart at 10 ++ am

reach KL around 2 ++ pm





感言 from the trip :

1. I realized that Mandarin really 差 ... LOL

2. The hygiene level in some places should be improved ... some ppl there don't even close the door when they go to bathroom ... =.="

3. I notice that the floors are really dirty as they fulled of the Pinang's (槟榔) spit which is red orange colour (initially i thought those are blood !!! hahaha)

4. I often used these 3 words : "sorry", "excuse me" and "thank you"
People will stared at me weirdly when i said that ...
Correct words to use is : "对不起" , "借过" and "谢谢"

5. I learned 2 new Hainanese word which is enough for me to answer when some1 ask me sth

- bo dai ( means don't know)
- bo kai ( means thank you)

LOL
